Meet The Founders of FriendenArts

Life threw us a curveball when our son Branden was diagnosed with Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord and impacts the muscles used for activities such as breathing, eating, crawling, and walking.

Seeing him struggle sparked a mission: helping disadvantaged young people like him find joy and meaning through art.

Art saved Branden. It let him express himself beyond his decline in health and disabilities, even becoming a passion he's now known for. Meet Branden at www.BrandenLim.com. We saw how powerful art could be, so we started FriendenArts to give other young people that same chance. 

FriendenArts helps disadvantaged young people unlock their inner artist, build confidence, and change their stories. We believe everyone, no matter what they face, can shine.
